Creativity as a tool for resilience and forms of art as means to confront challenges related to mental health: these are the themes at the heart of “PROFONDO NERO,” the new documentary by Sardinian director Roberto Pili. It illustrates how art can be a form of therapy and personal expression through the meaningful story of Davide Lai, a historic Sardinian writer known in the urban art world as NERO.

The participation of iconic figures from Italian (Danno, Kaos One, DJ Ice One) and Sardinian HIP HOP culture, along with professionals in the mental health field, enriches the project by providing unique perspectives on how artistic expression can serve as a powerful tool for improving mental well-being and addressing trauma and difficulties, offering a glimmer of light along the journey through darkness.
