The SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival provides a unique space for both new and experienced filmmakers to showcase their films to an international audience. The Grand Finale with Awards Ceremony will take place from November 22 to 24, 2024, at the Darna Theater in Tangier, Morocco.
The goal is to support filmmakers worldwide by offering them a platform to compete in an International Festival, garnering visibility through social and other media, and seeking to build bridges with the distribution sector. Simultaneously, the Festival aims to enhance regions with limited Festival and cinema offerings by promoting accessibility for all through free entry to screenings, beyond economic means. The audience will actively participate in judging and critiquing films through public voting.
The SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival will unfold in two phases. In the first phase, submitted works will compete in a monthly competition. These selections will take place between Italy and Spain throughout the year. Winners of the monthly competitions will receive a customizable logo and a digital certificate.
In the second phase, from the monthly winners, works chosen will participate in the final screenings open to the public (free entry) for 3 days at the Darna Theater in Tangier, Morocco, concluding with the awards ceremony on November 22-23-24, 2024, featuring the presentation of trophies and certificates. In this second phase, the works will be judged by an international jury (comprising journalists, educators, and film industry professionals) and by the audience through the Audience Award (all films automatically enter this competition).
The SamhainBaucogna International Film Festival is competitive, and winning films in the final phase in Tangier will receive trophies and certificates as prizes. Additionally, finalists will be interviewed through our various social channels in-person or via online connection.
